In response to this I think back to how people used to use LSD and other mind-altering drugs to 'get in-touch' with themselves and expand their consciousness.....
I think that the use of mind altering drugs should be used with extreme caution in any magickal situation...
The Native Americans use Peyote in their rituals but under extremely monitored conditions....
Recreational drugs have and can be used to alter mind states, but these also need to be carefully monitored, as some produce an opposite effect....
Prescription drugs that produce an altering effect in either real life or magickal situations should also be monitored , and also if someone is using a mind altering drug I believe it is that persons responsibility to inform others who may be affected within the situation they may find themselves in....
Responsibility and Safety go hand in hand....
